This is an interview with Shannon Smith about the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) at Program at Ogden-Weber Community Action Partnership.

Ogden Weber Community Action Partnership will hold an event to strengthen family
financial stability from Jan. 28 - April 15. Volunteers will be needed to help provide service to low income taxpayers. There are seven sites located throughout Weber County that will be announced along with their operating hours as the tax season draws near.
"We can not perform any of these services without our volunteers. We do not have the
budget to pay staffing and marketing. We rely heavily on our volunteers” said Shannon Smith, the VITA Regional Coordinator. “They are the ones welcoming the community, preparing our tax returns, and they are the face of the VITA program in Weber County. Those that feel the importance of what we are doing in the community and the importance of this program will be inspired to volunteer."
